New neighbor

Lately I have been seeing this bright eyed and crested fellow around the shop a lot. Turns out he is trying to bore a hole in a dead tree just behind the building and in between pecking his way into solid maple wood he scours the bark for things to eat. Apparently it is no secret as he makes these churring calls that can be heard for quite a ways. He is serious about what he is doing as I was able to walk pretty close and he was undeterred.
