Stacked

Have you heard or said "She's stacked!"? For many years I have had a sketch pinned to the wall... it is a torso composed of 20 stacking trays, each one adjusted to, when stacked , create a full bodied woman. This small box is the first real experiment with the form and it came about quite by accident.
I took an order for a small three tray stacking box and in order to make a little money decided to make several, each different, and offer a choice as well as make better use of my design and set up time. I made up six carcasses. The carcasses were different thicknesses of different woods so it made sense to handle the finger lifts differently, I cut in several types, one style was a smile cut in with a knife, another was very subtle lifts machined in with the table saw. Well.... this pine carcass was the thickest wood of the lot so I sawed in the most deeply and not only did I cut lifts at the side... heck, I cut lift space all around. Here is a box you can really get your hands on I felt.
Wouldn't you know it.. I showed my wife who poo-pooed it, the client went for the most subtle of the options presented.. there I was with the carcass no-one wanted.... Eastern white pine to boot, many real wood workers scoff at the notion of using pine for anything other than pulp for paper! >I scoff at them but that is fodder for another day<. So I carried my little pine semi boxes over my arm like bracelets so i could get everything to my car in one trip and with out thinking I had them in the wrong order and one of the tray sections was turned upside down. There she was... the woman of my dreams literally clinging to my arm!
Now I had work to do and a commission to fill so I had time to think about it.. wether that is good or bad remains to be seen. I loved the idea so much I sawed three of the stacks to this same design.. later I added yet another cove to better form her. I cut bottoms for the boxes but perhaps it was the array of nude figures all around me calling to me for next thing I know I am rooting around for some scraps with thickness.. why not carve in addition to simply making a box that looks like a torso. I found 2" thick >50mm< boards that amazingly fit this use, I found hard maple, mahogany, and walnut. The three 'girl' carcasses were quarter sawn red oak, antique birch and the aforementioned pine, I matched up the walnut to the pine, the maple to the red oak and the mahogany to the birch.
I finished the commission, the two other finished boxes are on their way to Palo Alto CA.. and though I have another order to fill I went ahead and worked on my girls. I fitted the thick wood into legs for the bottom and left all the wood in the top for carving. In two examples the 'ladies' will be showing a little skin at the mid section, the pine woman who turned out to be my Ebony Goddess shows skin only high and low.

Now we all know a woman is designed a bit differently from a man... time and time again I've proved that even a person walking a mile away who looks like a spec can be accurately called a man or a woman.. a girl or a boy 99 percent of the time. There are certain aspects that 'make' a girl.. It's the outline, it is the proportion, it is the way the hips move...
A box is squarish, hard corners, un-yeilding... but arranging the proportions and lifts a certain way and suddenly we have hips, a waist and breasts! Well, a swell that might indicate breasts... That thick walnut at the bottom is rabbeted to sit in tight to the bottom tray, it is then tapered starting at the bottom edge of her 'dress'. It raised the torso up and actually did help the form but a bowling pin has a fine taper... no one will mistake that for a girl.. she needed to have a little space between her legs, simple as that. She is not 'spreading', she can't.. she's wood! But once the legs are separated imagination takes over. She is standing there, her portly figure perfectly supported by meaty thighs, but that center cut is essential.. without it I found my fantasy only half as hot. As soon as I was working on the groove between her thighs, instantly she looked and felt more a girl. I felt more a man! I spread the goo, er ah I mean glue.. and pressed it>the bottom< in tight.
I rabbeted the top more loosely.. Not saying 'she' is loose... but there is nothing worse than having to fight to get into your girl. This one is the strong silent type.. words mean nothing to her.. she submits only to direct action. Once rabbeted the part that fits inside was slightly tapered and rounded... so it goes in and out easily. Then there was the hardest choice... those other womanly assets.. a simple swell? Tits popping out nips pointed to the sky? Maybe a neck detail with a pair of 'knobs' just breaking the horizon? The only decision I could make was to try all three! I want my wife's respect so this first lady has class. Using a grinder I formed a rise of the shoulders and neck, and a gentle slope over hills of 'grass that are truly greener'. I cut cleavage in with a chisel.. just as the parting of the thigh, the cleavage line is the 'headline'. I set her back and studied her.. making a few adjustments. When it looked 'right' I sanded the whole thing up. I rounded over the corners of the box all the while considering how many aspects of a girl this box has. Like a woman.. this box has it's fullest capacity in her bottom section. Let's say you want to get into that lowest section.. a gentle but firm grip right on her hips is a good start. Whispering in her ear might help but the firm grip with a straight lift will get you in like Flint! What you put in her is up to you. Even at 1/5 scale John Holmes couldn't >over< fill her.
Let's say you want to take her top off... once again.. a re-assuring tone can't hurt but gentle firm action wins the day. Here you have a choice, the 'waist' tray is the smallest and to access her there you place your hands under the swell of her breasts, the curve there fits your hands perfectly. To lift opens her up and divides her the way a magician cuts a lady in two. Both halves are useful as they are! can your girl do that?
We are trying to be gentlemen here, we are all impressed by the way her breast meat swells up like five pounds of brown sugar in a one pound bag... like a fine swiss chocolate in a tight dress, we all wanted to touch her there first but instead in some kind of presumed righteousness we dance around it. Go ahead.. you know you want to.. she is just the right size so you can grab her by the shoulders and hold her breast swells with your thumbs and then her top comes right off.. almost as if by design. Now you have full access, you are 'in' Dude! Dudette! What will you put in her! No liquids please! The bottoms are all tight but she might leak a bit!
As you examine her inner most parts don't deny yourself the pleasure of her sweet pine and linseed oil scent. When you put her top back on it is ok to linger over the gentle swells. When you hold her by the waist she opens right up and when you grab her hips you just know... those corn fed hips and thighs will hold up your house or your finest jewelry and gold just the same.. pick her up.. take her home.. all she wants.. needs is a place, and to be needed and loved and handled regularly. Treat her right and she will always be there!
